Matabeleland Taxidermist was established in 1991 by the late Donald Clive Reeve. Don was born 1st April 1956, in Mazabuka, Zambia to a farming background. This is where his childhood passion for the outdoors & wildlife started. Don personally sculptured most manikins and this can been seen in all the many different lifelike styles of mounts. This tradition is carried on by Don’s family.
Don broadened his taxidermy experience and expertise by moving to South Africa and opening Wild Africa Taxidermy in the Eastern Cape. Since Dons Passing this has been handed over to Kaarl Human.
Don’s family again broadened their taxidermy business in 2008 and opened Wild Touch Taxidermy; this was done by Bradley and Laura. All work is done by our well trained staff in Botswana, who have over 20 years experience.
As Francistown, Botswana is near Zimbabwe, we work very closely with Matabeleland Taxidermist, with all clients being contacted by Laura and all finished work being checked personally by Brad or the factory manager before being packed.
The precision work that is required for a trophy mount is done with great care by our well organized & talented staff.
We cater not only for the trophy mounts, but also tan skins & do rug mounts. Our wide range of quality products has grown from shoulder and skull mounts, to full and pedestal mounts.
